Delius was a late-Romantic English composer known for impressionistic orchestration and lyrical grace. Though British, he spent much of his life in France and Florida, experiences that shaped his distinctive sound. This comprehensive 2011 EMI Classics set features masterworks including Brigg Fair, Over The Hills and Far Away, and the Songs of Sunset, conducted by Sir Thomas Beecham with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
