Recorded during a period when jazz singing was being quietly reshaped by artists willing to step beyond standard repertoire, Langdon brings a distinctive voice—conversational yet precise—to material that ranges from the playfully absurdist (the album's title track) to the achingly introspective ("Lonely Girl In London," "My Heart Is A Hunter"). The sequencing across these twelve tracks suggests a character study more than a conventional song cycle, each piece revealing different facets of romance, longing, and acceptance. What emerges is a record that rewards close listening, one where the arrangements give Langdon space to inhabit each lyric fully. This is jazz singing rooted in emotional truth rather than technical display—a reminder that the most compelling vocal performances often come from artists willing to sound exactly like themselves.

<details style="margin:0 0 8px;">
Item Details+

Genre

Jazz

Style

Vocal

Media

Near Mint (NM or M-)

Sleeve

Near Mint (NM or M-)

Description

Cover is EX to NM, without Obi but with insert.
