The result is a fascinatingly liminal record—caught between the space-age shimmer of early synth-pop and the harmonic sophistication of jazz-funk, with Cress's drum machine programming locked into grooves that feel both mechanically precise and deeply human. Tracks like "Moon Walk" and "Flying High" drift into cosmic territory, while "The Screamer" and "Power Vein" anchor the album in funkier bedrock. It's the sound of a master drummer learning to speak a new language, and the album never loses sight of melody or the kinds of rhythmic conversations that made Cress's name in the first place—just translated through the gleaming, otherworldly textures of early-80s electronic music.

<details style="margin:0 0 8px;">
Item Details+

Genre

Electronic, Jazz

Style

Space-Age, Jazz-Funk, Jazz-Rock, Synth-pop

Media

Very Good Plus (VG+)

Sleeve

Very Good (VG)

Description

Record looks good VG+.
