The seventies were disco's golden age, but these twelve-inch singles reveal something deeper than the glitter and mirrors—a moment when funk, soul, and dance music collided to create something genuinely transcendent. This collection gathers the extended versions that ruled dance floors across the decade, tracks where producers and engineers stretched grooves into hypnotic journeys, where horn sections blazed over locked-in rhythms, and where vocalists found room to breathe and soar. You'll hear Chic's precision alongside the raw joy of Sister Sledge, the cosmic funk of Earth Wind and Fire, and the confidence of Donna Summer at her peak. These weren't just songs; they were statements, celebrations, invitations to move. The twelve-inch format mattered—it gave DJs the tools to keep the night alive, gave listeners the chance to sink deeper into each record's particular magic. Whether you're rediscovering these grooves or hearing them fresh, this collection captures a time when dance music meant something essential.
