By 1993, Blitz had developed considerably while retaining their core identity. The Killing Dream, released on American label Cleopatra, shows refined songwriting and production without abandoning the aggression and working-class credibility of their earlier work. The intervening years allowed the band to sharpen their craft—more cohesive songwriting, deliberately structured compositions, improved production—while maintaining punk authenticity. Compared to Voice Of A Generation's raw urgency, this feels more confident and carefully crafted. For longtime Blitz followers, this represents genuine artistic development; for newcomers, it's arguably the more accessible entry point. A solid example of how punk and oi sounded in the early 1990s, less raw but more refined.
