Catfish Rising is the 18th studio album by Jethro Tull, led by Ian Anderson. This album marked a shift back toward a more blues-oriented sound, reflecting the band’s early roots, but still blending progressive rock elements typical of their style. After the more folk-influenced and heavily synthesized albums of the 1980s, Catfish Rising brought back a stronger focus on guitars and blues riffs.
