Gong was a Franco-British experimental rock band led by Daevid Allen, pioneers of cosmic rock and surrealist prog. 'Gazeuse!' arrived in 1977 as part of their Floating Opera trilogy, capturing the band at their most playful and psychedelic. The album features Allen's distinctive guitar and vocals, bouncy rhythms, and the band's trademark blend of jazz fusion, rock, and electronic elements—genuinely eccentric and free-spirited. The sound is lush, layered, sometimes hypnotic, sometimes hilarious, balancing ambitious arrangements with weirdness and humor. If you're into Soft Machine, early Roxy Music, or anything that refuses to sit still, this is essential. German original pressings are increasingly scarce.
