Neurosis captured raw intensity on Pain Of Mind, their 1987 release on Alchemy Records. This is uncompromising hardcore—thick, aggressive, and deliberately unpolished. Heavy guitars collide with unrelenting percussion and vocals that cut through like razors. There's no pretense here, just pure sonic aggression. The songs build momentum through sheer force rather than nuance. This early recording documents a band channeling the fury of the era into something visceral and immediate. Increasingly difficult to find in original pressing, Pain Of Mind remains a crucial artifact for those seeking genuine underground hardcore from this period. Raw, unpolished, and utterly essential for the committed.
