One of the greatest singles of 1967, this pairing shows why the Stones were rock's most dynamic force. "Let's Spend The Night Together" caused controversy with its directness, featuring the Stones at their most provocative—swaggering garage rock with attitude. The flip side, "Ruby Tuesday," reveals their softer, more introspective side, with its memorable melody and strings arrangement. Together they showcase the Stones' range: raw sexuality and vulnerability, blues-rooted rock and pop sophistication. Recorded during their peak creative period, this single captures a band at the height of their powers, able to deliver both the raw and the refined with equal conviction. Essential Stones.
